Info re Beta

Hi,
I recently purchased Beta and am currently trying to get her ready for the water. Prior to me owning her the centre board was removed and I believe the mast replaced. I come to this conclusion because the mast apears to be 5ft taller than standard.
Does anyone have any background information on Beta? I really would like to hear from previous owners or anyone who can fill in Beta's history.
