Lifting Keel (or not as often happens)
Lifting Keel (or not as often happens)
Has anyone come up with a relatively foolproof way of either stopping the keel sticking in the stored position or easily freeing it after the boat has been dried out? I am on a drying mooring and no I don't want to change it.
Re: Lifting Keel (or not as often happens)
When I bought my 22 the hole thing was sized solid. I fixed it permanently up and removed all the table and lifting gear. I now have lots of room in the cabin and with a few changes she sails great up wind down wind and in any winds she will sail on her own with my fitting to her Tiller. https://youtu.be/kdUQ3tndwm4?si=amJNVH4dzYwG34uM or for Tiller fittingshttps://youtu.be/0Z2IK2UftRs?si=FmBFTsVDPvrzP8BF. All works great. She stay steady on any course. Cheer, Pete
